In order to vigorously promote the spirit of model workers, the spirit of labor and the spirit of craftsmanship throughout society, the Nanchang Municipal Federation of Trade Unions selected and commended a batch of advanced collectives and advanced workers who emerged in the construction of "One Hub and Four Centers" in our city at the end of April 2023. After four stages of extensive publicity, grassroots recommendation, review and reporting, and final commendation, Liao Hongyi, an engineering technician of Konda Elevator Co., LTD., was awarded the title of "May Day Labor Medal of Nanchang City". This is the second time that Konda Elevator has received the individual May Day Labor Medal at the municipal level, which is also awarded by the Nanchang Municipal Federation of Trade Unions, one year after it was awarded the title of "Nanchang Workers' Pioneer" for its engineering team in 2022.

Since joining the company, Liao Hongyi has held a firm political stance and worked diligently and hard. As a bachelor's degree graduate, he is humble and kind, never aiming too high. He always keeps his feet on the ground and makes silent contributions. He is willing to work on the front line of the company, fully exerting his professional expertise and applying what he has learned. He has demonstrated his professional practical skills and achievements in the manufacturing of elevator control and operation systems and elevator installation projects of the company, playing a leading and exemplary role. He was awarded the 2022 Outstanding Employee Award by the company and was a key member of the engineering team of Konda Elevator Co., Ltd. that was honored with the title of "Nanchang Workers' Pioneer" in 2022. He has been working hard and without complaint, conducting elevator installation inspections, rectifications and acceptance, ensuring the safe operation of the elevators installed by the company, and safeguarding the reputation of Konda Elevator as a national elevator brand. Through shaft rectification, standardized installation, quality control of spare parts, rational application of technology and rectification, he has made significant contributions to saving operating costs for the company, promoting capital recovery and shortening the construction period of elevator projects. During the epidemic, at the request and approval of the district government and entrusted by the company, he was not afraid of the risk of infection and went deep into the epidemic area many times to carry out reverse maintenance on the elevators in the isolation points, effectively supporting the normal epidemic prevention operation of the elevators in the isolation points.

Liao Hongyi said that being awarded the "May Day Labor Medal" of Nanchang City is not only an acknowledgement of his personal efforts but also an affirmation of the unity and hard work of Konda Elevator. In his future work, he will redouble his efforts, enhance his skills, and make new and greater contributions to the local economic development of Nanchang at Konda Elevator, a high-tech enterprise specializing in the manufacturing of complete elevators.
